The jurisdiction of the ITDA is subject to the exclusion of areas included in ITDAs Adilabad, Asifabad, Nirmal, Mancherial, Warangal (Urban), Warangal (Rural),Jayashankar bhupalapalli, Janagaon, Mulugu, Mahabubabad, Khammam and Bhadradri Kothagudem shall extend to the districts of Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Karimnagar, Rajanna Siricilla, Peddapalli, Jagitial, Hyderabad, Medak, Sangareddy, Siddipet, Rangareddy, Vikarabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Nalgonda, Yadadri Bhongir, Suryapet, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Jogulamba Gadwal, Wanaparthy and Narayanpet.

The mandate of the ITDA Plain Areas is to formulate appropriate plans for overall and integrated development of STs living in Plain Areas (other than Adilabad, Asifabad, Nirmal, Mancherial, Khammam, Bhadradri Kothagudam, Warangal (Urban), Warangal (Rural), Janagaon, Jayashankar Bhupalapalli, Mahabubabad and Mulugu districts) coordinating with lines departments, district administration of the respective districts for implementation of various developmental and welfare programs intended for STs and monitoring implementation of STSDF of line departments in Non-ITDA districts.
